Three of the Corinthian's abilities may be things a player doesn't want to interact with, or something a character may be immune to. If any of the three listed below fall under either category for any reason, please comment with the name of your character and the ability you wish to opt-out of. The reason can be included or left out, that's completely up to you.

DARKNESS DETECTION
A vague sense allowing him to distinguish those with darker sides to their personality or darker desires from those without. This does not work over electronic devices.

NOTE: this will not tell the Corinthian anything specific about a character's past, inner thoughts, motivations, etc.

DREAM WALKING
When in the Dreaming the Corinthian is able to enter the minds of dreamers and rot their dreams into nightmares. Because he is now trapped in the Waking World, this ability will have limitations. While the Corinthian will be able project himself inside the mind of a Dreamer, he will need to be within a reasonable distance of them (i.e. he could be outside their apartment building, but not two blocks over) and can only enter and influence the mind of one Dreamer at a time.

SOOTHSAYER
Characters within ten feet of the Corinthian will be unable to knowingly lie, either audibly or visually. This also means that illusions will not work within the sphere of this influence. A character attempting to tell a lie will instead slip naturally into speaking the truth. Unintentional lies and lies of omission will remain unaffected, and this ability will not work over electronic devices.

Basically someone within ten feet of the nightmare becomes Jim Carrey from Liar, Liar. Have fun, friends.

I'd like to have Dooku be resistant to the Soothsayer power! Lying is basically breathing to him, so if he was going to be affected, he'd have to stay at least eleven feet from the Corinthian at all times... The other two powers are completely fine though!

Darkness Detection:

Sure. Why not? I'm fine for it if Crane's presenting as his real self: post-Rises straw-suit nerd. I'm curious how it'll work against his shapeshifting since part of that power involves immunity to mind-altering if he's in a different form. Though this doesn't read as that and I'm up for hashing out something interesting?

Dream Walking:

I don't mind this, though given Crane has a similar power [BUDDIES] I think they'd be able to talk person to person? LBH his dreams are all pretty much nightmares anyway and he's pretty fearless. CLEARLY they need to gang up on someone.

Soothsayer:

Crane prefers unintentional lying and uses omission anyway so this is totally fine! I'll just ask for a heads up in case it involves something utterly major.
brushoff: (let's talk about BOOKS.)

DARKNESS DETECTION
Feel free to note that Dorian's darkness meter is WAY TOO HIGH.

DREAM WALKING
have at it, yo. Fair note, the Doctor rarely sleeps because weirdo Time Lord biology & Dorian's practically nocturnal at this point but mess up their dreams.

SOOTHSAYER
okay see this has the potential to be fun. yes for both my dudes. There was a character ingame a while back who had the power to see through falsehoods/illusions and we decided that wouldn't it be awesome if she saw through Dorian's pretty face to the fact that without his portrait he'd be a total trashpile. so if you wanna do something with that wrt Dodo & Cory's soothsaying powers, I am up for that entirely.

I'm up for all of this, but if he tries creepin' on Klarion's dreams, there's a very good chance that he'll run into Teekl, who won't be happy to find an intruder in his buddy's headspace and might attack him or otherwise try to drive him out!

Loki Laufeyson

Darkness Detection

Yes, absolutely, while Loki is actively trying to change for the sake of defying fate that doesn't necessarily mean he walks a righteous path. He had to kill himself to get to where he is (his innocent self at that). So there are some dark undertones that The Corinthian should be able to detect if they come into physical contact. It will certainly belie his demeanor.

Dream Walking

Why would you even? Though yes, go right ahead, not that Loki is terribly affected by nightmares, but his conscience does make him particularly susceptible to certain things. His headspace is a mad place to be, even his dreams.

Soothsayer

This would be absolutely brilliant! In fact Loki will be intrigued by this ability, because lies and illusions are his bread and butter, he's entirely about misdirection. He will be the ultimate fail around the Corinthian, which is canon actually. Verity could see through illusions and lies. Though Loki was still able to deceive her through other means. Might require some discussion, but I'm not object to this kind of foil.

Darkness Detection: The guy's got a massive Frankenstein influence so why the hell not? Yes ofc.

Dreamwalking: Yep! Let's communicate? Victor doesn't sleep regularily so that might be something to play with.

Soothsayer: Sure thing. Though if it's particularily sensitive/personal info I'm up for spinning things out and discussions.
